Description

After many experiments I managed to create a truly complex formula for dry, sensitive skin that is completely free of essential oils. This moisturising face cream is enriched with ceramide and hyaluronic acid and is rich in vitamin E and coenzyme Q10, complemented with nourishing shea butter. It helps strengthen the skin barrier, leaving the complexion visibly brighter, firmer and fuller.

Fast-absorbing and richly moisturising, it provides immediate and long-lasting hydration for dry, sensitive skin.

Ceramide (NP)

Lipids found naturally in the outermost layer of the skin (stratum corneum). Like 'the mortar that holds a brick wall together', they repair and strengthen the skin's damaged hydrolipid barrier. They prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL), protect the skin against environmental damage and keep it firm and supple.

Hyaluronic acid

An extremely powerful natural moisturising factor (NMF) that can bind up to a thousand times its own weight in water. Used in different molecular weights, it hydrates the deeper layers of the skin while also forming a protective film on the surface. It instantly plumps fine lines, improves skin elasticity and supports the skin's barrier function.

Vitamin E

A fat-soluble vitamin with outstanding antioxidant power. It protects the lipids of cell membranes from oxidative stress and the damaging effect of free radicals (e.g. UV radiation, pollution). It supports skin hydration, improves microcirculation and is an excellent anti-ageing active.

Coenzyme Q10

A cellular-level antioxidant that plays a key role in the cells' energy production (ATP synthesis). It inhibits collagen breakdown, reduces the depth of wrinkles, protects the cells from UV-induced photo-ageing and helps restore the skin's vitality.

Panthenol (provitamin B5)

An excellent water-binding, soothing and wound-healing active. In the skin it converts into pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which is essential for the regeneration and metabolism of skin cells. It strengthens the skin barrier and reduces inflammation, itching and redness.

Calendula extract / oil / macerate

A plant ingredient with legendary soothing, skin-renewing and wound-healing properties. It speeds up the healing of micro-injuries, reduces inflammation, relieves sunburn and supports the regeneration of the skin's barrier layer.

Chamomile flower / oil / extract

An extract with a strong soothing and antiseptic effect. It calms itching and inflammatory processes (e.g. acne, eczema, allergies) and protects the cells from irritation.

Squalane / olive squalane

The stable, hydrogenated form of the squalene found in the skin's natural lipid layer. An extremely light, fast-absorbing oil with a silky feel. Non-comedogenic, so ideal for every skin type (including acne-prone skin). By forming a protective film it prevents water loss while improving skin texture.

Bisabolol

The main isolated active compound of chamomile. It has an extremely strong anti-inflammatory, soothing and wound-healing effect. It minimises redness and irritation and effectively supports the regeneration of sensitive skin prone to eczema or breakouts.

Shea butter

A plant fat high in vitamins A, E and F. An excellent moisturising, soothing and regenerating ingredient. Its phytonutrients support cell renewal, reduce inflammation (e.g. in eczema or psoriasis) and provide lasting protection against dryness.

Caprylic oil (MCT oil)

An extremely light, dry-feeling ester oil made from coconut oil and composed of medium-chain fatty acids. It does not clog pores, absorbs superbly, softens the skin and helps spread the active ingredients. A perfect carrier oil, even for sensitive skin.
