Jojoba oil (Simmondsia chinensis seed oil) is not actually an oil but a liquid wax ester – the only plant ingredient whose molecular structure is almost identical to human sebum. That is why the skin not only tolerates it well but recognises it as its own and absorbs it deeply and completely. It does not clog pores, is ideal even for sensitive skin, is rich in vitamin E, regenerates, and can also be used on dehydrated, oily skin.
